5th Step--Daily Recitation of the Holy Rosary and
The Divine Mercy Chaplet
It is vitally important that people, even single Catholics, recite the Holy Rosary daily for the conversion of sinners and for peace in the world as Our Blessed Mother has repeatedly requested throughout the years. The Holy Rosary is special for many Catholics throughout the world because many people love Our Blessed Mother and ask for Her intercession through the Rosary for them with Her Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ. In most of the Marian apparitions throughout the world, Our Lady always seems to request that people participate in the recitation of the Holy Rosary as a way of gaining blessings from God, Our Lord Jesus and Our Blessed Mother in order to help souls that need it most, to alleviate suffering for souls in purgatory and for peace throughout the world. Our Blessed Mother has always been concerned over the condition and state of the world and for the state of individual's souls. Gaining everlasting salvation for the world is Our Blessed Mother's first priority. Why don't we make sure that Her requests do not go unheard and forgotten? We can also share in Her Divine Plan of Salvation for the world, for the salvation of souls and for peace by making sure that we say the Rosary every day. If one is not familiar with the Rosary, you can go to the Daily Rosary videos and recite the Rosary daily.
Our Blessed Mother has made 15 promises to those who recite the Rosary faithfully every day:
1. To all those who shall pray my Rosary devoutly, I promise my special protection and great graces.
2. Those who shall persevere in the recitation of my Rosary will receive some special grace.
3. The Rosary will be a very powerful armor against hell; it will destroy vice, deliver from sin and dispel heresy.
4. The Rosary will make virtue and good works flourish, and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies.
It will draw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal
things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.
5. Those who trust themselves to me through the Rosary will not perish.
6. Whoever recites my Rosary devoutly reflecting on the mysteries, shall never be overwhelmed by misfortune. He
will not experience the anger of God nor will he perish by an unprovided death. The sinner will be converted; the
just will persevere in grace and merit eternal life.
7. Those truly devoted to my Rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church.
8. Those who are faithful to recite my Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the
plenitude of His graces and will share in the merits of the blessed.
9. I will deliver promptly from purgatory souls devoted to my Rosary.
10. True children of my Rosary will enjoy great glory in Heaven.
11. What you shall ask through my Rosary you shall obtain.
12. To those who propagate my Rosary I promise aid in all their necessities.
13. I have obtained from my Son that all the members of the Rosary Confraternity shall have as their intercessors, in
life and in death, the entire celestial court.
14. Those who recite my Rosary faithfully are my beloved children, the brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ.
15. Devotion of my Rosary is a great sign of predestination.
The Divine Mercy Prayers were given to St. Faustina by Jesus. Jesus asked that these prayers be said every day to help poor sinners throughout the world. Jesus said that His mercy is abundant and boundless for those who ask for it. Jesus also added that whoever goes to confession, attends Mass and received Holy Communion on Divine Mercy Sunday (Saturday is also appropriate) which is the First Sunday after Easter, they will be forgiven of all their sins, past and present and His mercy will be spread to those who ask for it.
