How You Can Evangelize To Others
It is very important that we as Catholics evangelize our Catholic faith, the Good News of Jesus Christ, Scripture and the teachings of Our Holy Catholic Church to others, especially to other single Catholics, married, widowed and divorced Catholics, to secular people who do not follow Christ, to atheists, agnostics and any other person and people. We are all part of the family of humanity which Jesus wishes to save, especially through His Divine Mercy, and by following Our Heavenly Father's Commandments, by participating in the Sacraments of the Catholic Church, attending Mass and receiving Christ in His Body and Blood.
Our Lord specifically said in Scripture that "faith without works is dead", so we must all participate in doing work for Our Lord for the salvation of souls (living and deceased) and for the greater glory of God. Many Catholics oftentimes do not know how to proceed in evangelizing their Catholic faith with others. We would like to give you some suggestions on how you may be able to evangelize your Catholic faith with others:
1. You can write about Bless Single Catholics Worldwide on Facebook and on Twitter
and give all people, especially singles, our web address. In this way, you are getting the
word out about our online ministry and anyone who goes to our site will see all of
the great information we have. Encourage them to view the pages particularly
about "How We Will Be Judged" and the "Divine Mercy Devotion", as well as the
online Rosary, online Divine Mercy Chaplet, St. Michael's Chaplet and the Brown
Scapular.
2. You can encourage others to consecrate themselves to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
and Sacred Heart of Jesus. We have that prayer on our site which they can recite with
their families, or for themselves.
3. You can encourage people to look at Catholic DVD's and read Catholic books,
especially those who do not know much about the Catholic faith. These can be for
poorly catechized Catholics, for those who are thinking about becoming Catholics,
for those who need religious help. You can encourage them to read The Catechism
of the Catholic Church.
4. You can encourage others who are thinking about becoming converts to Catholicism
to read a series of books of the Catholic faith. You can have them take Catholic
Home Study Courses. These are available for a donation.
5. You can encourage people who need to talk to a priest about their personal
problems and sins. The priest can give them insight into how to resolve the person's
problems and sins. Also, you can encourage others to go to Confession (if they
are Catholic) or to encourage them to learn more about the Catholic faith.
6. You can encourage others to go to daily Mass and to Mass on the weekends.
And, for those who are Catholics, you should encourage them to receive Holy
Communion as long as they are in the state of grace and do not have any mortal
sins.
7. You can do acts of Mercy throughout the day such as giving a homeless person
food or money, donate clothing or money to Catholic organizations such as
St. Vincent de Paul or other Catholic organizations.
8. You can encourage your family members to put their kids in Catholic schools or
in Catholic homeschooling such as Seton Homeschool and make sure that your
nieces, nephews, cousins, etc. have made their First Holy Communion or are in
Catechism school so that they can make their First Holy Communion and/or
Confirmation.
9. You can pray for your family, friends and loved ones and also for the poor souls
in Purgatory. You can also pray for the conversion of all sinners. In this way,
Jesus promises that if you show mercy for others, He will show mercy to you.
These are just some suggestions on how you can evangelize to others about our Catholic faith. This list is by no means the limit of ways in which you can get the word out about
our beautiful Catholic faith. However you decide to evangelize to others, make sure that
it is in compliance with the Magisterium of the Catholic Church and that Jesus would approve of it. Take care and may God bless you in your efforts.
