We Must All Do What is Necessary
To Obtain The Sabbatine Privilege!
You may be asking, "What is the Sabbatine Privilege? The Sabbatine Privilege is one of the most important messages of Our Blessed Mother. It is based on the Papal Bull issued on March 3, 1322 by Pope John the 22nd. This Privilege was approved and confirmed by many popes including St. Pius V. It essentially says that those who: 1. Wear the Brown Scapular of Mount Carmel and fulfill two other conditions can obtain early liberation from Purgatory, through the special intercession of the Virgin Mary, on the day consecrated to Her, which is Saturday. For example, if a person had fulfilled the 3 conditions of the Sabbatine Privilege previously and dies on a Tuesday, he/she will be liberated from Purgatory on that Saturday.
The other two conditions are:
2. Observe chastity according to one's state in life
3. Recite the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary daily (the Rosary, with permission from a
Catholic priest, can be recited daily as a substitute for the Little Office of the Blessed Virgin
Mary.)
Our Lady revealed to Venerable Dominic of Jesus and Mary, "Although many wear my Scapular, only a few fulfill conditions for the Sabbatine Privilege." We maintain the majority don't know them. It is an act of charity to make the Sabbatine Privilege known to all. One should not wait until the last minute to fulfill the conditions that Our Blessed Mother has requested but should be practicing these conditions, to obtain the Sabbatine Privilege, all of their life until death.
